About Me

Background:

I  started out 12 years ago as a designer for The Lyon Company, a local licensed product company that worked primarily with retro licenses. By working along side a number of great designers throughout the years I have developed a good sense as to what will make a good design and ultimately a great product. Over the years I have  worked with some of the most creative designers in the area and have learned a great deal about design in general. Working both as a graphic designer and creative director.

In 2009 I started working a few side jobs for myself and in 2011 had decided to officially start my own freelance business Dale Andrus Design. I have had a great first year and can’t wait to see what tomorrow may bring. I have continued to grow as a designer and as a company. I love to work on new projects simply because design work is what I love to do. By designing a great product for a great price and really caring about each client, giving them everything I can to help them succeed. I hope to see even more growth in the coming year.

Over the last year Dale Andrus Design has continued to evolve and currently specializes in product, packaging, print, and identity design.

My Process:

I use a five step process that starts with getting as much creative input from the client as possible. The more direction I have from the client upfront the more efficient I can be in managing the projects time and bringing my clients vision to life. It helps to keep the overall cost down, the customer engaged and produces an end result that everyone is happy with.

Next I will provide you with an estimated price quote. I understand running and completing your projects in a timely and cost efficient manner is important to the success of your company. As it is also equally important to mine. I will provide a fair price quote that is both reasonably priced and fits well within your company’s budget.

Next I get to work on the intial design drafts. Offering a few options for my clients to choose from depending on what type of job I happen to be working on. This is where both the client and I have a chance to offer suggestions ideas and just be creative together.

Next step a decision is made and it’s time to bring the  favorite concept and all the new ideas to life. Once created you will then have an opportunity to make revisions once again making sure you are getting exactly what you were looking for. Here is where all proof reading and editing is done before final project is completed.

Finally, I fine tune the project until it is something I’am proud to present. I deliver the job and invoice to you.

My Vision:

I strive to create a design that has contrast, is well balanced, and has an impact that will catch your customers eye the second they see it. Working with nastalgic properties for so many years. I have learned  that good logos, graphics, and designs should have the ability to stand the test of time. They should appeal to not only decade of fans, but several decades of fans who can relate and attach them selfs to design itself as well as what it is known to represent. I believe there is many different styles and the possibilities in the world of design and look forward to help you bring your ideas to life.
